The Spelthorne branch of Guide Dogs for the Blind Association has been presented with a cheque for nearly £1,100 collected by Notcutts Garden Centre in Laleham.
The association was the chosen charity of the year for Notcutts in 2008 and the money, handed over by centre manager Will Howard, was netted through fundraising events and donations.
In return the garden centre was presented with a framed picture of a guide dog puppy by branch treasurer, Brian Thorne.
A treasure hunt and birds of prey display takes place on Monday (16) at Notcutts Garden Centre in Staines Road, Laleham, from 10.30am-4.30pm.
Children are invited to hunt for the clues around the centre that will lead them to a small gift while Jan the Falconer returns with his feathered friends to entertain visitors both young and old.
